Artist's Description
Cotopaxi, 5897 m (19347 ft), the second highest active volcano in the world and the Pita River that rises on its slopes and flows here under the old stone bridge of La Merced.
The Pita River is one of the main water sources that supplies drinking water to the Metropolitan District of Quito. The topography of the Pita River is marked by the presence of the Cotopaxi and Sincholagua volcanoes, and minor streams. It originates in the southeastern part of Sincholagua volcano and northern part of Cotopaxi volcano and flows from south to north.
About Henri Leduc

I'm a Belgian based in Ecuador since 1992. My passion for photography comes from my love of the outdoors, nature, the mountains, the sea. I want to encapsulate some magical moments and share some of the most extraordinary places on earth with all those who are sensitive to the beauty of this wonderful nature. I try to capture the poetry, the drama or the force of nature in the colors, in the details, in the shapes. My goal is to share beauty and emotions.
