Description

Close to El Chalten, on the trail to Laguna de los Tres and Fitz Roy, there is a mirador with a beautiful view on the river Las Vueltas. This river is part of the Santa Cruz river basin. Most of the river's water is of glacial origin, mostly from the melting of snowdrifts from the northern part of the Los Glaciares national park. Before flowing into Lake Viedma it forms an intricate delta over ancient moraine sediments.
