Artist's Description

Polylepis trees form open, bushy vegetation on the slopes of the volcanoes of the Andes and it is therefore surprising to find isolated patches of evergreen woodlands 500-1000 m above the treeline, often hidden in stream ravines, boulder fields or steep, rocky terrain. Here on the rocky slopes of the Chimborazo volcano at 4355 m

About Henri Leduc

Henri Leduc

I'm a Belgian based in Ecuador since 1992. My passion for photography comes from my love of the outdoors, nature, the mountains, the sea. I want to encapsulate some magical moments and share some of the most extraordinary places on earth with all those who are sensitive to the beauty of this wonderful nature. I try to capture the poetry, the drama or the force of nature in the colors, in the details, in the shapes. My goal is to share beauty and emotions.
