The Chuquirahua is a native plant of the Andes typical from the páramo that can be find up to 4300m. It's also named the "flower of the hiker" , "flower of the Andes". It's the symbol of the mountaineers in Ecuador. This one is facing the Chimborazo volcano, the highest mountain in Ecuador (6310m).
I'm a Belgian based in Ecuador since 1992. My passion for photography comes from my love of the outdoors, nature, the mountains, the sea. I want to encapsulate some magical moments and share some of the most extraordinary places on earth with all those who are sensitive to the beauty of this wonderful nature.
