The beautiful and long-lived Alerce or "Lahuen" (Fitzroya Cupressoides) is a tall conifer native to the Andes mountains of southern Chile and Argentina whose specimens can reach 3,000 years of life.
It is the largest tree species in South America, normally growing to 40–60 m, but occasionally more than 70 m, and up to 5 m in trunk diameter.

I'm a Belgian based in Ecuador since 1992. My passion for photography comes from my love of the outdoors, nature, the mountains, the sea. I want to encapsulate some magical moments and share some of the most extraordinary places on earth with all those who are sensitive to the beauty of this wonderful nature.
